I had my wisdom teeth removed and it doesn't hurt that much but my other teeth are hurting?

i had my top wisdom teeth removed on monday the 25th. 3 days ago, and the sockets are not hurting that much but my other teeth are hurting and i was just wondering if that is normal? i had my bottom wisdom teeth removed in feb. of this year and they hadn't come in yet so the oral surgeon had to cut into the gum and dig down deep to get the teeth out and then scrap the jaw and i remember it hurting way worse than this time and the other teeth hurt but the dentist said that was normal because he scraped the jaw bone. so, this time it was very easy, they cracked the teeth and then just pulled them out because they had grown in on the top. anyway is it normal for my other teeth to be hurting? it's kind of a throbbing and aching type hurt. thanks in advance for any help!

if your adjacent tooth is hurting, i think that it is traumatized by dental instrument while the dentist was trying to extract the tooth. we shouldn't lean the instruments on the beside tooth and force it.may be your dentist made this mistake.

there might be another reason for your toothache . may be your tooth is hurting because of a pulpitis or periapical periodontitis (in both case you need root canal therapy)or you may have some carries on that tooth and this hurt is followd by another tooth extraction by accident.
Reply:They will do for awhile, just a case of grin and bare it!
Reply:yeah for a lil while. also your nose might start bleeding occasionally. mine did when i got my top ones taken out.
Reply:this is not normal...i had wisdom teeth removed a few months ago...my bottoms were ok but my top teeth everywhere was throbbing, i was on vicodin but as soon as it wore off, they would throb again so i kept popping the vicodin non stop... but i thought it was normal since i did have 8 teeth removed the same day, well when i went back a wk later for the check up, the oral surgeon told me the reason my upper teeth were throbbing was because all the food i ate for the past week was stuck in the socket and surrounding areas and were just rotting there and an infection had started. he flushed them out and put these gauze things filled with antiseptic stuff, after like 5 minutes, the throbbing went away... then he tells me "you should have come in sooner"...i was like, i thought it was normal! make an appt asap and have the dentist/surgeon look at it.
Reply:The same thing happened to me. As memory serves, there are two main nerves that attach to the teeth in the upper jaw, one on ether side. Branches from these nerves feed the individual teeth. Then your wisdom tooth was extracted, the nerve feeding it was severed and that apparently caused some trauma to the main nerve, which you now feel in your other teeth. I recommend that you check back with your dentist as he can verify this, if this is the case for you as well, and give you something for the pain.
Reply:well getting the wisdoms extracted is a painfull job for the dentist plus the patient himself... well i guess post op pain is a common factor and sometimes its hard to distinguish the site of pain.. so i suggest u do warm saline rinses constantly keeping the extraction sites clear from food debries and most probably the pain will relief in a few days.. hopefully u have taken the medication been prescribed by the doc...
