Why do my teeth hurt?

I went to the dentist today, thinking I was going to get told I had my first cavity, I brush my teeth daily, atleast twice a day, I try to brush after every meal, but sometimes I can't because, let's face it, not everyone eats at their house all the time every meal and carrys a tooth brush. But the dentist told me my teeth were actually in pretty good shape, I have a couple "weak spots" he said to brush with floriude tooth paste (I do, I use Colgate) and use mouth wash after every brush. He did say I have an cross bite, in which I need braces, I was aware of this, since he told me this a few years back and my mom didn't do anything about it, so I have an appointment the 7th, but why do my teeth hurt? it's not like a throbbing pain to where I can't sleep, but they do tend to hurt at times alot, I don't understand?? Is it the cross bite?

Why do my teeth hurt?
could be the bite. But you don't mention if you floss daily. If you don't food particles get jammed up in your gums and eventually cause gum disease, bone loss, and ultimately tooth loss. I would hope your Dentist would have mentioned it to you if it were the case. You did mention 'weak spots'-I hope he didn't mean your teeth were moving-because that would be a sign of gum disease. If thats the case get a new dentist.
Reply:It's okay i have the same problem, my molars are always hurting. I believe he said it was because of having to get braces. Since your teeth are unaligned, they grow funny and hurt because of the postion, don't worry it should go away after a while with your braces.
Reply:I had headaches, and found out that I ground my teeth.

I had to get a "Night Guard" that is nothing but a footballs teeth guard. It was pretty expensive so I recommend you try buying a football teeth guard and use that a few nights while you sleep.

If it causes your tooth pains to go away you grind your teeth.

hope this helps.
