My teeth hurt I cant fall asleep?

I just got my wisdom teeth out yesterday.

I take 1 tylonol 3 every 4 hours, but even if I take 2 at a time, it seems to do nothing.

so I have taken 2 tylenol 3' s and melatonin to help me sleep better. I am not drowsy at all and my teeth hurt. How can I make myself feel better so I can fall asleep?

Call your dentist and see if they can prescribe something a little stronger for the pain. Years ago when I had mine taken out, I was given Tylox. It works a little better than Tylenol. (My friend that just had his taken out this week was given Lortab for a few days.)
Reply:well what you have to do is see your dentist and ask them for something to sooth your pain and they will give you something
Reply:Have you tried ice packs to reduce the swelling? Place ice in a baggie and wrap it in a thin towel then place on the outside of your face. Leave it in place for 15 minutes then take it off for 15 minutes and repeat. Also, have you tried Advil? If not, try it because it may really help with the swelling and alleviate the discomfort.
Reply:You can try Tylenol PM - - that stuff is better for putting you to sleep. I think Advil is a better pain killer for serious, heavy duty hurt. Medicine is based on your weight...if you are a regular size adult you should take at least 2 at a time...3 for serious pain (this is the far bottom level of Rx pain killers). If it were me, I'd have a drink to go with it...that would make me drowsy.
