Why do my teeth hurt?

why do my teeth hurt after i drink something cold? they hurt for like a couple seconds, and then i take a sip again they hurt again. could it be that i have sensitive teeth? if this helps i have braces (bottom and top teeth) and i cracked the same front tooth twice.

Why do my teeth hurt?
Ahhh yes, the "sensitivity," issue. There's a lot of reasons for sensitive teeth. I have sensitive teeth, and I hav eto use a special toothpaste, such as Sensodyne, or... any type of toothpaste which helps take the pain away. I know it can be... extremely painful, and can actually ruin your life. One thing you can do is... perhaps cut back on sugary drinks, such as soda and sweet tea. Or... when you do drink, don't... sip on those drinks throughout the entire day. What that does is... constantly subjects your teeth to sugary, which... sort of acts as an acid.

Then of course...a cracked tooth can hurt horribly, unless filled or fixed, you know. So... yes, that WILL be an issue with that tooth if not taken care of.

And of course always brush twice, and floss every day... alll that good stuff.

So, I hope that helps. Just get to a dentist, and they'll be able to help you out.
Reply:CUZ YO TEETH IS VERY SENSENTIVE.
Reply:I cracked my front tooth as well and later got a veneer and whitening and my teeth are sensitive too..it might just be because of your filling, if you have one?
Reply:This happens with anything cold like ice-cream. It could be a cavity, tooth-decay, hypersensitivity, go to your dentist and check.
Reply:I had the same problem, whenever I drunk something too cold, or too hot, it would hurt a lot. Dentist said it was because I brushed too hard, and had worn out the Enamel on a single tooth.
Reply:my sister had the same problem and it turned out to be a VERY deep cavity almost requiring a root canal. go to the dentist!
