Do your wisdom teeth hurt when they're growing?

For the past week, i have had pain on the left side of my mouth. today i looked and saw a small piece of tooth. IMassuming thats my wisdom tooth? Anyways, do wisdom teeth hurt when they're growing or is there something else wrong with my mouth? How long will the pain last and what can i do meanwhile to numb the pain?

Do your wisdom teeth hurt when they're growing?
yes, when wisdom teeth start to come out of course it's gonna hurt because it has to break through your gums to come out, and it won't stop hurting until they fully come out, to numb pain you should buy orajel
Reply:Yeah, I think it is fairly uncomfortable and they do hurt a bit. Babies cry when they're getting new teeth, right?

Anyway, time to call the dentist..... you will need to talk about whether you need them taken out or not.
Reply:yes, wisdom teeth generally hurt when they are coming in. This is because they are pushing through your gums. It's basically the same effect as when a baby is teething. Just take some kind of anti-inflammatory pain killer if it bothers you (Like ibuprofen or aleve). It's nothing to worry about though. Good luck!
Reply:Yes, it hurts like hell at times. And it can last on and off for awhile.
