Why does one of my front teeth hurt?

It just has this pain when I drinking cold things... It just randomly started today. I took a bite out of a somewhat cold apple, then on my SECOND bite it just randomly started hurting, like a nerve was exposed or something. It is NOT the gums, and it seems to be within the tooth. I brush my teeth 2-3 times each day and floss practically every day. The tooth appears to be healthy.

OKAY AN IMPORTANT THING is that this has happened twice before. Sometimes it's one of the front teeth at the bottom. When I eat something wrong, it just starts to have this pain. But then after about 2 days, everything's fine and nothing like this happens after that. However, I'd like to know what this is, if anybody knows... I'm not going to a dentist right now, I think it will get better, but if anybody knows exactly what this is, it would be great help. Thanks!!!

It might be just dentinal sensitivity, with which you only use a toothpaste like sensodyne to help it. You have to brush with that toothpaste twice a day for a few weeks to notice a difference.

It might also be many things, like a cavity, or a cracked tooth. The best would be to have your teeth checked by a dentist.

for other possibilities.
Reply:The tooth is sensitive. Get some sensitive tooth paste.
Reply:No one can tell you exactly what it is without an examination. You really should see a Dentist and get this checked out. If you can't afford 6 month check ups, try going at least once a year.
Reply:check if your teeth is abraded. toothpaste for sensitive teeth (Sensodyne pro-namel). If the pain to cold drink persist for a period of time visit your dentist.
