I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled and I'm not getting put to sleep...so does it hurt?????
Does getting your wisdom teeth pulled hurt??
None of this is going to make it any easier. But you will be fine, over before you know it.
Reply:Not as bad as they will if you don't get them pulled...
Reply:You can feel the pressure..but the pain will be worse after the medicine wears off, but if you take the pain meds you will be fine.
Reply:Not really just some pressure is all. Good luck you'll be fine.
Reply:Yes it does without anesthesia.
Reply:Well, yes. I got put to sleep. Guess it was too painful. You can't feel anything if you are asleep..*Obviously* But that *After-Pain*...Ouch.
Reply:Yes it hurts like hell!
Take some motrin or extra strength tylenol an hour before you go to the dentist.
You'll be pretty numbed up but it usually hurts afterwards.
Reply:every person is different. some ppl dont feel that much pain, others feel like they're being killed. there's no way u could know which 1 u are..... thats why i dont want 2 remove mine!
Reply:Nope, it will be painless since you'll be numb. Make sure you get enough vicodin to enjoy the days after :)
Reply:The process doesn't - even if you're awake, they will drug the bejesus out of you. You will be sore and look like a chipmunk for a few days though.
Reply:I heard that it does hurt but its nothing a little pain meds won't cure!!%26lt;3 You'lle be fine!!
Reply:I had one that was grown in all the way...that barely hurt at all...I was so glad just for it to be out...good luck...
Reply:Not too bad. Its uncomfortable but with local antistetic its ok. Getting them extracted without any antistetic is terrible. I did that once. as long as they come out in one peice your ok but if they have to cut and dig, you will wish you had been knocked out.
Reply:Mine hurt. All I got pulled was one. It was absessed. So painful I had a light stroke. The dentist didn't know it was absessed though. That is the most pain I have ever felt in my life. They shouldn't hurt that much.
Reply:NO. But if it's any consolation it does hurt some afterwards (but it's not too bad) but they give you good pain meds! Watch out for dry socket its a *****! Remember: leaving them in there would be worse.
When they pull them, you can hear a POP when they come out. If you relax it's kinda funny LOL or maybe I'm just strange.
My jaws didn't swell like they said they would either. If you're sensitive to aspirin or ibuprofen, they could cause dry socket just as easily as smoking can.
Reply:if theyre full of cavities theyll really hurt if you dont get them pulled out and it will hurt a little but to avoid any pain i would ask for a shot of novicaine, your awake, but the gums are deadened so you cant feel anything.
Reply:Oh getting them pulled is a walk in the park, it's the empty sockets that hurt.
Reply:I got my 4 wisdom teeth pulled out when I was 13. I didn't request any meds or music. They numbed my mouth though, but I do remember it hurt. I squirmed a bit in the chair, but I didn't scream or cry. I knew once it was over, the pain would subside. Oh, you may bleed in the mouth afterwards. Just don't move around as much. Take some aspirin, and you'll be fine.
Reply:It will at first, but the pain will go away.
